This summer, we are back again offering Internships💻 to Graduate and Under-Graduate students.
Industry Oriented 4-Week Internship as per AICTE Guidelines.
About Internship
It's a great opportunity to learn modern technologies and work on live Free Software Projects which can be taken as your mini/major projects to solve the real world problems in the society. Interns can work on wide range of Free Software projects and will have an opportunity to interact with mentors from Industry and Research such as IIM, IIITH, IITH, BITS Pilani, University of Saarland, Philips R&D, ThoughtWorks, Wipro and many more….
Wonderful experience through out the program with gaining of multiple skills and Certificates will be awarded at the end of program!!
Apart from learning technologies this internship makes you industry ready where you can have chance to participate in exclusive placement drives going to be conducted by multiple startup's and other IT companies.

Sudden lockdown lead to closure of out-patient division in hospitals, to address it we have launched a helpline in collaboration with Forum for People's Health and served close to 30,000 patients in both the Telugu states. In second wave, Along with Forum for Peoples Health we have launched a services & resources directory in peoples-health.in.

Education
This lockdown has pushed us for forced remote education, digital divide is more evidently visible like never before. We have provided Free Software solutions to engineering colleges and schools, like learning management system, integrated with video conferencing & live streaming, off-campus access of institute internal network(ex. accessing journals & internal portals) and ERP solutions for administrative wings.

Agriculture
Farmers are one of the worst hit by pandemic. We have organized open data hackathons to built apps that will provide farmers with MSP, near-by mandis etc. We along with ForIT stood in solidarity with farmers of Nalgonda district by helping to sell their produce at a rate to reduce their losses. We are now working on solutions where farmers can reach out to agri experts on understanding diseases of crops, taking suggestions on what fertilizers to be used etc.

1. Who can attend this internship?
Any person who's a Graduate or pursuing Graduation, interested in learning new technologies, make use of time, sharing ideas and willing to take part in this internship theme by contributing to Free Software Projects can apply for our Internship. No yearly boundaries, Students who are tech enthusiast and who are graduate or pursuing graduate can attend this internship. Whichever stream you are in, you can benefit. Which year you are in doesn't matter, it definitely will be helpful to you and to the community.
2. What is the duration of this internship?
This is 6 Week Internship, 150-180 credit-hours which is equivalent to 3-4 credits in accordance with AICTE guidelines.
4. How is the internship conducted? and How will you provide assistance to the students?
Primary activities will be online on our Project Management System- https://code.swecha.org (self-hosted GitLab) and Learning Management System- https://learning.swecha.org (self-hosted Moodle) & Communication Platform - https://chat.swecha.org. All the interns who registered for internship will be grouped into teams based on projects they choose\allocated. Every team will have mentor to guide them for the projects.
5. Can you provide the details about the requirement of Laptop/PC/Mobile?
One can attend this internship using Laptop/PC. However, all our platforms used in this internship are mobile compatible. Although mobile can be used for accessing the internship training resources, it is recommend to use the Laptop or PC for doing your project.
6. What kind of projects are we are going to deal with?
In this internship, we have prioritized our projects from different domains in our initiatives
7. Will I be provided with Internship Certificate on successful completion?
Yes, intern will be provided with the certificate of internship on successful completion.
8. Do I have to pay any amount in order to enroll for this Internship? and How much it costs?
