To the participants of Swecha's Summer-camp 2011, a 5 Day Live-Programming camp is scheduled with the title “HackFest-2012” from May 16th to May 20th, 2012. As mentioned, this camp is exclusively for the participants of last year's 15 Days Software Industry Oriented Training Camp (i.e. Summer-camp 2011, held at CBIT-MGIT, Hyderabad between June 16th and June 30th, 2011).
During this camp the participants will be exposed to various challenges (as in requirements) for which they need to find and code suitable solutions. Below are the list of some themes of challenges, participants will be working on
- GNOME extensions
- Advanced Drupal themes
- e-Learning tools
- Task coordination portal
- Interoperability between Content Management Systems
- and More...
Working on the above mentioned themes will make the participants formidable in facing any real-time challenges at their workplaces. There will be a continuous presence of professionals from IT industry to oversee and help the participants on the challenges they are working.
Participants will be divided into teams to work on the challenges, assigned. There will also be inter-team discussions to promote “crucial time knowledge sharing”. At the end, work of the teams will be evaluated to award the teams standing in the first 3 places.
On the logistics part, Swecha will take care of the accommodation (its strictly an only-residential program) and food for the participants. Registration Fees for each participant will be Rs. 500.
